PTP'S Artist Lab is happy to host a series of Playwriting Workshops this April! There are four workshops to choose from, each with a different focus. Whether you take one, a couple, or all four, you'll gain valuable insights to hone your script writing abilities. Writers of all experiences levels are welcome!
PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP #3 "Creating Circumstance: The World Your Characters Will Interact Within"
INSTRUCTOR: Summer Krafft
DATE: Thursday, April 17
TIME: 6:30pm-8:30pm
PLACE: PTP Artist Lab, 1218 K St, Modesto
PRICE: $20 ($10 for students with ID)
DESCRIPTION: In this workshop, we will examine what matters to you in terms of “place”: geography, time frame, culture, setting, burning Issues, and Circumstance. These are the forces acting upon your characters, forcing action and reaction, to one another and to outside forces. Where are you going to put them? We will also discuss how the characters you've created are likely to respond to such pressure based on values you assigned them in the previous workshop.
