Meet the DoMo Shop Makers.

Greetings, meet Esparanza, the candle enthusiast extraordinaire and the proud mastermind behind Blame The Flame. From an era when candles were mere adornments for birthday cakes, Esparanza discovered their enchanting ability to conjure cozy realms and whisk individuals away with heavenly scents. Delving deeper into the waxy wonders, a realization dawned: candle making was her destiny, or perhaps just a delightful detour from karaoke stardom.

Esparanza's journey unfolds as a wild ride of scent experiments, wax wizardry, and the occasional dance battle with rogue wicks. She has transformed her passion into a pursuit of crafting not just candles but aromatic art pieces. Her chosen ingredients? Nothing but the crème de la crème – premium waxes and scents so natural that even Mother Nature would raise an eyebrow.

As an Army veteran, Esparanza approaches life with the precision of a drill sergeant and the creativity of a seasoned artist. When not curating olfactory adventures, she can be found horseback riding (engaged in an unspoken rivalry with her four-legged companion), serenading startled squirrels with karaoke, or attempting to convince her dog that candle-making is a top-notch bonding activity.

Blame The Flame is more than a name; it's a proclamation that every space deserves to be ignited with warmth, humor, and a touch of military precision. Join Esparanza in this fragrant journey, where she is not just the candle whisperer but also your co-conspirator in making life a tad more illuminated—one laugh, scent, and Army salute at a time.

Ricardo Ferrer has always had a passion for working with his hands. Throughout his life, his jobs have consistently been hands-on, and he’s found joy in dismantling, reassembling, or constructing various things. Not too long ago, Ricardo faced a period of unemployment due to an injury, seeking something to aid him through those challenging days. What started as a hobby during a rough time evolved into a daily source of anticipation, even after returning to his full-time job.

Ricardo taught himself the intricacies of operating both the CNC machine and the laser machine, reveling in the process of transforming an idea in his mind into a tangible creation on the laser. Whether it's his original design or someone else's, Ricardo takes pride in the meticulous process and quality of the pieces he produces. The people in his surroundings serve as a constant source of inspiration, influencing many of his creations.

The business's name is a tribute to Ricardo’s father and his place of origin. The trellises, crafted with care, draw inspiration from his girlfriend's love for plants, aiming to contribute something meaningful to her passion. His Christmas ornaments hold a special significance, honoring the memory of lost pets and those of friends and family during the holiday season, recognizing the profound importance of pets in people's lives.

Every creation is thoughtfully crafted, reflecting Ricardo’s life experiences, family, and friends. His love for working with wood is a testament to his appreciation for nature, allowing him to create beautiful pieces with the materials it provides. From leather and wood to slate and acrylic, these seemingly simple materials prove to be versatile, opening up endless possibilities. Each item produced at Green Belly is a carefully considered piece, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Chantal Crea Studio

Chantal's creative journey began with inspiration from her sister, Morissa, leading her into the world of clay earrings. With a background in ceramics and cake decorating, the transition proved unexpectedly smooth. Guided by Mr. Crimmel and fueled by the music of Arctic Monkeys and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, she explored dark and abstract faces in her ceramic art during high school and college.

Having honed cake decorating skills from a young age, Chantal ran a small business and later decorated over 60 cakes daily at a bakery, developing a steady hand and precision. Fondant work provided insights into color mixing and material handling, resembling a clay-like consistency with the bonus of being edible.

After mastering cake decorating, Chantal sought new challenges, birthing Chantal Clays, later rebranded as Chantal Crea Studio. In three years, she expanded into new mediums like acrylic and incorporated a Glowforge laser machine in 2022. Diligent research led her to quality gold and silver suppliers. Proud of her artistic evolution, Chantal expresses gratitude for the support in her art and business journey. Much love to everyone joining her creative adventure!
