Giselle is a romantic ballet in two acts. The story follows Giselle, a peasant girl who falls in love with a nobleman, Albrecht, who disguises himself as a commoner. When she learns of his deception, she dies of a broken heart. In the second act, Giselle joins the Wilis, vengeful spirits of betrayed women who force men to dance to their deaths. However, Giselle's love transcends death, and she ultimately saves Albrecht from the Wilis' wrath before ascending to peace. The ballet is a cornerstone of the classical repertoire, known for its dramatic storytelling and ethereal choreography.
