The revealing story of the 16th US President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln (Day-Lewis) pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

President Abraham Lincoln Appearing at Modesto’s State Theatre!

Abraham Lincon Impersonator Thomas Katsis will appear at Modesto’s historic, nonprofit State Theatre as part of The Modesto Film Society’s screening of Steven Spielberg’s Oscar winning film LINCOLN on Sunday, August 18.

Katsis has been portraying Lincoln in films, commercials, and live theatre for over ten years. He will greet patrons, be available for photo opportunities and answer questions as the country’s greatest president at The State Theatre’s Intermission. At 6’3”, he really inhabits the spirit and nature of this great man.

Spielberg’s film stars multiple Oscar Winner Daniel Day-Lewis during the 16th President’s last four months in office as he guides the country to the conclusion of the Civil War and the adoption of the 13th Amendment to abolish slavery. The all-star ensemble cast includes Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Show time for the film and the presentation will begin at 2 pm.

Doors open at 1, so come early, meet “Honest Abe” and take your photo with our greatest President.
